Masa parasol

These parasols are made with fabric incorporating masa treatment. Conventional parasols permit 5 to 7% of ultraviolet light to pass through unhindered. This compared to the all but 2 or 3% that masa parasols are able to block. While a conventional parasol allows more than 50% of infrared light to pass through, masa parasols reduce infrared to a mere 10% to 15%. masa parasols also excel in thermal testing, absorbing heat and reducing the amount that reaches the person using it.

Products of masa are fiber sheets coated with a superior nano-scale metal film that include textiles, knitted materials, nonwoven fabrics and other types of sheets. With this thin, uniform metal coating, it is possible to create highly functional fibers that have various added values. In 1975, SEKISUI NANO COAT TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD. developed the world's first technology for the nano-metal coating of fiber.
