Applications

Our MEAs cover a broad range of applications… …including fully humidified, low humidity or dry operating conditions. Stable, high levels of performance are consistently delivered for hydrogen-air and for hydrogen-oxygen conditions. Reformate MEAs can be operated under full and low humidification conditions. They show stable, long term performance and tolerate various CO concentrations without major performance loss or deactivation of the catalyst layers. Our electrolysis MEAs are designed for applications where high purity hydrogen is produced. They show excellent durability under a broad temperature and pressure range. With their excellent performance they provide the basis for high system efficiency even at high hydrogen production rates.

Manufacturer's Description

Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEAs) are the electrochemical heart of a proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell stack.
The MEA produces a continuous supply of electricity when provided with hydrogen and oxygen from air. We develop and manufacture state-of-the-art MEAs based on proprietary technology and mass manufacturing processes.
In addition to excellent performance and a precious metal content adapted to the requirements of the application, our product range is designed to provide an extended lifetime and reliable operation under field conditions.
Our MEAs are available for stationary, portable, automotive and PEM-electrolysis applications and can be tailored with respect to stack size, stack design and operating conditions according to specific customer needs. This will allow our customers to shorten the time it takes to bring their products to market.
We also offer MEAs for use in PEM water electrolysis applications. Our MEA product series covers the complete chain of catalytic solutions for sustainable power generation!
We have established an integrated management system and have been certified according to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 + Cor 1:2009 since January 2007.
