UPVC is used in dental industry, pipe applications, cabling applications as a wire insulator and so many other applications. It is commonly used in the building industry, mostly for window frames and sills when installing double glazing in new buildings, or to replace older single-glazed windows.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is the third-most widely produced synthetic plastic polymer, after polyethylene and polypropylene. Regular PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a common, strong but lightweight plastic used in construction. It is made softer and more flexible by the addition of plasticizers. If no plasticizers are added, it is known as UPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride).Some powders with the particle size greater than 1 mm is often added to PVC compounds to reduce cost, but at the expense of performance through reduction in tensile and impact strength.
