Aerosol printing Inkjet printing

Properties

Lower cost of printing The equipment used to print metallic inks is much less expensive, cumbersome, and hazardous compared to the conventional chemical etching process Smaller amount of material used Lines for printed circuits will be thinner (0.1 - 2.0 microns compared to ~10 microns in traditional techniques) and narrower (10 - 50 microns). This will significantly save on material for printed circuits The printed electronic industry requires inks. UT Dots produce high quality, inexpensive, low temperature sintering nanosilver inks in large quantities. This will open doors for the large scale production of printable electronics in a cost effective process. Our silver nanoink passed the 90 degree adhesive test, showed high conductivity (~ 50% of bulk silver) after sintering at temperatures >180 C. At lower temperatures, ~ 130 C, the resistivity of 10x of bulk silver can be achieved.

Manufacturer's Description

UTDAg silver nanoink is general-use ink for aerosol or ink-jet printing on variety of substrates. UTDAg is based on silver nanoparticles with average size around 10 nm and dispersed in a liquid vehicle. Since they are surface stabilized, UTDAg inks are highly soluble in nonpolar organic solvents and stable under atmospheric conditions at room temperature. Silver nanoparticles have a low sintering temperature and can be used on inexpensive substrates, such as paper, polyester, polyimide and others. The resistivity of UTDAg ink decreases with time at required temperatures.
