Macromer P Polycarboxylate Superplasticizers are used for the concrete production. Grade selection depends on the cement composition and concrete type. Use of Macromer superplasticizers offers the following advantages: high plasticizing and water-reducing efficiency of polycarboxylate superplasticizers makes it possible to improve the flowability of concrete and reduce water content by 25% and more (depending on the field of use); significantly reduced loss of concrete and mortar flowability prolongs their transportation and handling time; extended concrete product life. Use of polycarboxylate superplasticizers increases moisture resistance, cracking resistance, and frost resistance in concretes, and reduces power consumption during concrete placement (except for vibropacking). Macromer P Polycarboxylate Superplasticizers are non-hazardous, free of chlorides or other substances causing reinforcement corrosion. They may be used without limitation for fabrication of reinforced concrete structures, including prestressed structures.

Macromer superplasticizer polymer structures vary in length and composition of the backbone chain, length and number of pendant chains, and anionic charge density. Macromer P-13K have been synthesized by such methods that provide gradient structure of the superplasticizers. In Macromer P-13K, Macromer P-163, Macromer P-16 polycarboxylate superplasticizer the steric effect enhances. The enhancement of steric effect makes it possible to reduce the influence of polycarboxylates on the cement grain hydration.
