Manufacturer's Description

Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) is one of the lightweight polymers that have high strength and impact strength. Pipes and fittings made of this material exhibit excellent resistance to corrosive environments. Fillers with nanoscale dimensions are responsible for excellent properties of these polymers due to their high specific surface area. Addition of calcium carbonate and silica nanoparticles improves the physical and mechanical properties of the nanocomposites. This product is nanocomposite 90 degrees knee joint containing these nanoparticles in which the addition of the nanoparticles has improved the impact strength, thermal stability and Vicat softening point.Various nano-sized fillers, including silica and calcium carbonate are reported to be able to greatly increase strength, modulus and toughness. These unusual properties are a consequence of extremely large specific interfacial area.
