Manufacturer's Description

Water Treatment Specialists manufactures a full line of commercial and industrial nanofiltraion reverse osmosis systems that utilize membrane filtration. Most common applications for nano water treatment systems are surface water and fresh groundwater, also being used recently in the food processing industry. Nanofiltration is a membrane separation process which removes many dissolved high molecular weight compounds from the water feed. Nanofiltration membranes are also known as “softening membranes” because they will remove the hardness from feed water but leave the majority of the lower molecular weight ions in the water.  Nanofiltration membranes can also remove large organic molecules with molecular weight above about 1,000 Daltons such as color from water. Nanofiltration has replaced reverse osmosis membrane treatment in many applications where removal of just the hardness and large organics  is needed for the end process.
