Manufacturer's Description

Builders' hardware is a group of metal hardware specifically used for protection, decoration, and convenience in buildings. Building products are not useful in buildings; rather Builders' hardware supports them and make them work. Common examples include door handles, door hinges, deadbolts, latches, door knockers, hooks and curtain rings. So it can be said that some Builders’ hardware also has decorative applications. Since these products may be exposed to corrosion and abrasion, they need to be protected against corrosion and abrasion. In addition, appearance of products gets the great importance due to their decorative application. According to above mentioned criteria, appropriate coatings have been developed. Nitride coatings such as TiN, ZrN and CrN are included in this category, which in addition to providing the required properties also have beautiful color. Using nanostructured coatings provide better properties. The most common methods to deposit these coatings are Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). Due to some specific properties of different PVD methods (Arc-PVD and sputtering) such as getting nanostructured coating, high speed of production and good coating quality, they have become more common for these kinds of coatings.
