Bodi Energy (previously Axium Nanofibers LLC) is a material science company with offices in Los Angeles and R&D and manufacturing capabilities in Austin, Texas. The company has developed a breakthrough process that enables large-scale manufacturing of novel nanomaterials for a broad range of applications. Its lead commercial program is focused on a lithium ion battery platform that delivers energy densities of roughly 600 Wh/kg. These lithium ion battery materials are very thin and flexible, facilitating unique configurations for small mobile and wearable devices. Bodi Energy's foundational technology is licensed from Cornell University. The company's breakthrough process was developed at Cornell by a professor in the Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
