Established in 1961, SvenskaKJ was the first wholesale supplier in Australia to specialise in commercial upholstery and furnishing fabrics. SvenskaKJ is one of Australia’s leading commercial furnishing fabrics companies with operations in every state and territory. We’re not Australia’s largest and we have no need to be. Our size allows us to be highly flexible and accessible and to offer superior technical advice and service. Some of our first clients are still working with us today – 45 years on – which is testimony to our strong focus on ethics, relationships and on solving specification challenges. SvenskaKJ founder Chris Lander started his career working in the European textile mills in the 1950s. His unique technical knowledge has contributed greatly to the industry at large and underpins the company’s stringent product quality standards. Since 1961, the company has hand-picked only the highest quality fabrics from leading mills in Australia, Europe and the US. SvenskaKJ currently supplies textiles from a number of renowned companies including DePloeg, Skai, Drapilux and Microcare. Our specialty is to develop fabrics that suit particular technical and budget specifications.
