Trojan Hospitality Asia was established in 2006 as a private limited company. Its main business was in chemical, insecticides and disinfectants. Founder Mr Cheang Wai Yew witnessed the suffering of people with mosquito-borne diseases such as Dengue. Dengue viruses are spread to people through the bite of an infected Aedes species mosquito. These mosquitoes are commonly found in Singapore homes and restaurants. Determined to create solutions to improve the lives of children and families, he created Trojan Hospitality Asia, a company that is focused to create solutions to zap mosquitoes and cleaning solutions to prevent diseases and improve wellbeing. Fast forward to 2021, Mr Cheang's grandson, Dylan Thomas Seah-Cheang, who is also the Operations Director of Trojan Hospitality, took a leap of faith and created a new brand SANO-D, as he saw the need for solutions to fight against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and also to create a solution to eliminate germs and viruses in people's daily lives so that everyone can always be protected against diseases and stay safe. As Trojan was always in the B2B market, Dylan also saw this as an opportunity to break into the B2C market with SANO-D. His story was also featured in our local newspaper, Lianhe Zaobao, which can be found in our newsroom.
