Golden Candlesticks

Coatings of decorative application according to their beautiful appearance and abrasion , corrosion and stain resistance

Candlesticks are one of the oldest decorative components in Iranian homes. Their presence goes back to our ancestor period. Golden color is one of the most popular color for decorative components, so they are made of materials in this color or are coated by the golden coatings. Moreover, they should be resistant to scratches, stains and corrosion. Considering these items, appropriate coatings have been developed for decorative purposes such as Candlesticks. Nitrides such as TiN, ZrN, HfN and alloy nitrides such as TiZrN are used for decorative application. It should be added that, TiN coatings have been selected among mentioned coatings in this product. In addition to beautiful golden color of these coatings, their properties such as corrosion and abrasion resistance and being anti scratches and stains make them interesting to decorative applications. The most common methods to deposit these coatings are physical vapor deposition (PVD) and chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Due to some specific properties of different PVD methods (Arc-PVD and sputtering) such as getting nanostructured coating, high speed of production and good coating quality, they have become more common for these kind of coatings.
