Air FilterNano-textiles with a diameter of less than 100 nm is coated on common filter paper using electrospinning process. This results in more efficient absorption of dust particles. With respect to test results, dust particle absorption efficiency for Nano-filter is much more improved in comparison with the common one. For instance, the value of absorption for particles with a size of 2 microns for common filter paper is 40% and the Nano one is approximately 89%.Coating common filter paper using electrospinning method causes pressure reduction in the flow of air. According to tests taken, the amount of pressure reduction in Nano-filter paper in comparison with common paper is neglectable (approximately 15%) For better filter efficacy, electrospinning textiles used in this technology increase dust absorption efficacy and doesn’t involve a high amount of reduction in pressure either. Electrospinning textile diameter is less than 100 nm and coats filter paper surface very well.
Vehicle air filter protects the engine and is used to prevent the engine from being damaged by dust or other contamination particles. It’s designed in different shapes for different kinds of cars. Introduction of Nano-technology to filter industry is the most recent evolution in this field. Using this method cellulose or synthetic textiles (usually with a diameter of 10 – 30 microns) are coated with a layer of Nano-textiles (with a diameter of 50 – 400 nm). There are two different methods for separating particles in filter paper structure:
In-depth filtration, in which particles are separated in different paper layers according to their size.
Surface filtration, in which all particles are separated in the paper surface.
We reach the second method through Nano-technology.In Behran Co. filter paper is coated with Polyamide textiles with a diameter of less than 100 nm using electrospinning process
