Morphogenesis, differentiation, migration, wound healing and infection are all governed by cellular adhesion to supporting tissue. Today´s In vitro cell culturing systems lack the possibility to fully mimic the natural environment of the cell, which is essential for optimal control of cell growth and the study of sensitive phenomena in interfacial biology.

As an example, these surfaces can mimic natural tissue with nanopatterns organized at the protein level, enabling new advanced and specific cell culture. Cline Scientific surfaces can be used to explore cellular adhesion mechanisms in high detail or to find optimal conditions for advanced cell culturing. Other advantageous applications involve e.g. measurements for protein adsorption and chemical kinetics.
