Antibacterial ABS Granule

ABS antibacterial granule is used in home appliances parts like refrigerator, vacuum, telephone and children toys.

By production of ABS antibacterial masterbatch through addition of zinc oxide to raw ABS granule, replication of bacteria can be prevented in fridge parts. ABS polymer is created of three monomers: Acrylonitrile, Butadiene and Styrene. Each of these monomers give exclusive properties to final polymer. Part of these properties are transparency created by styrene, elasticity cause of butadiene and polarity and chemical resistance due to presence of acrylonitrile in ABS backbone, which according to that several grades of ABS can be obtained by variation of each monomer’s composition. ABS is used for different purposes such as home appliances plastic parts. Antibacterial masterbatch of ABS is produced by using modified antibacterial Nano materials. It can also be mixed with other polymers like PC or PVC to obtain alloys with even better properties.
