Construction Structural Materials
FittingThis product is known as UPVC fittings containing nanoparticles. It has passed INSO 9119-1 (Plastics–Piping systems for soil and waste discharge within the building structure-Unplasticized poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC-U)- Part 1: Specifications for pipes, fittings and the system) requirements Nanoparticles as nanofillers significantly increase the strength, module and the toughness of the polymer matrix. After adding nanoparticles, it shows a reduction in the failure of the fittings according to the INSO 9119-1 (Plastics–Piping systems for soil and waste discharge within the building structure-Unplasticized poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC-U)- Part 1: Specifications for pipes, fittings and the system)..
UPVC (un-plasticized polyvinyl chloride) is used for the majority of plastic pipes and fittings in the world, as it is incredibly resistant to chemical erosion and has smoother inner walls that help to encourage water flow. It has high chemical resistance across its operating temperature range, with a broad band of operating pressures. Due to its long-term strength characteristics, high stiffness and cost-effectiveness, UPVC system account for a large proportion of plastic piping installations. Also, the structural joints due to their particular shape are under more mechanical stresses than the pipes and their probability of failure is high under high pressures. It has been found that the addition of nanomaterials significantly improves its toughness and stiffness.
