Manufacturer Asserted

γ-Aluminium oxide

γ-Al2O3 Nanoparticle /Nanopowder CAS Number : 1344-28-1

Applications

low octane conversion to high octane products to gasoline and aromatic compounds production as a raw material for resins and plastics
Plastics Resins Aromatic compounds production Gasoline compounds production Low octane conversion to high octane products

Properties

Due to the nano-porous gamma alumina high specific surface, the more surface is available for reactions. Also the some nanoparticles presence creates more available surface for reforming reactions.

High Specific Surface Area Catalytic reforming

Manufacturer's Description

Catalytic reforming of naphtha is a chemical process for low octane conversion to high octane products to gasoline and aromatic compounds production as a raw material for resins and plastics. The hydrogen is amongst important byproducts of this process. The process structure and the catalyst should be selected efficiently to correct performing, full efficiency and avoid the coking process. The efficient structure of reforming reactors is continues catalytic reforming (CCR). In this process the catalyst is too important. The gamma alumina based catalyst is amongst catalysts has long history in catalytic reforming. This suitable for continues catalytic reforming because of high selectivity for aromatic compounds forming. The acidic reactions in naphtha reforming related to gamma alumina. The dehydrogenation reactions are performed by some metals that are inoculated on this Catalyst. Thus alumina based catalyst is more appropriate for catalytic reforming.
