Immediate effect: eradicates viruses and bacteria within minutes Enhancing the antiviral and antibacterial properties of copper through advanced nanotechnology. Reducing self-disinfection time from 2+ hours (copper) to just minutes (Nanoshield). Self-cleansing: long lasting effect without reapplication
Nanoshield screen protector and phone case kills 99.99% of viruses & bacteria in minutes. The high surface area of copper oxide nano-particles generates more Reactive Oxygen Species molecules than copper metal - which rupture cell walls and protein structures of bacteria and viruses. Copper oxide nanoparticles cover both the front glass and the phone cover. The copper oxide nanoparticles damage the bacteria and viruses protective coating, causing eventual death.
The coating was tested to Japanese JIS Z 2801/ISO 22196 standards to kill 99.99% of non-enveloped virus and gram-negative bacteria. The film is undergoing further testing in independent labs against globally recognized human coronavirus surrogate OC43 and mouse coronavirus - which comes from the same family as SARS-CoV-2. Update: NUS School of Medicine has independently verified that Nanoshield kills 90% of mouse coronavirus within 10 minutes (5th May 2020).
Nanoshield is developed by Nanoveu. We’re a company that has its origins rooted in nanotechnology since 2012 - founded as a technology spin-off of Singapore’s premier research institute A*STAR.
Don’t just take our word for it. The material used in our product has gone through the rigorous testing under the JIS Z 2801 standard, which has since been adopted as an International Standard ISO 22196. The film is proven to kill 99.99% of non-enveloped viruses and gram-negative bacteria within minutes - including globally recognized human coronavirus surrogate OC43.
All viruses have a protective layer that attempts to preserve the infectious DNA/RNA within, lipid envelope (enveloped virus), capsid protein layer (non-enveloped virus). Nanosized copper particles produce copper ions (Cu+) that damage these protective layers leaving the DNA/ RNA exposed.
A chemical reaction occurs between the Cu+ and surrounding oxygen (O2), generating reactive oxygen species (ROS): superoxide and hydroxyl radical (OH-). OH- is like nature’s silver bullet, this highly destructive unstable radical seeks equilibrium by stealing atoms from neighbouring atoms, causing rapid damage to viral proteins and their DNA/RNA.
Copper has the ability to accept and donate electrons as it cycles between Cu+ and Cu2+ oxidation states. This redox
the property ensures the long-term production of Cu+ and OH-, continually eradicating viruses and bacteria without the need for wipes or reapplication.
