Manufacturer's Description

MicroLink’s triple-junction inverted metamorphic (IMM) solar cells for space applications are manufactured using our state-of-the-art epitaxial lift-off (ELO) technology. The cells have an AlInGaP/GaAs/InGaAs structure and are grown using metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) on a GaAs substrate. The efficiency of the cells is 29% under AM0 illumination. The cells are available in a variety of sizes: 20 cm2, 4 cm2, and 1 cm2 cells are available now and other sizes are available on request. Because of the ELO process, the cells are very light, with an areal mass density <350 g/m2. The cells are available as single devices or in a coverglass/interconnect/cell (CIC) format.
