Manufacturer's Description

Through the exfoliation method, graphite is exfoliated in order to separate its multiple layers. The exfoliation process requires surfactant or organic solvents to expand and separate the layers, together with sonication, centrifugation and/or shear mixing procedures. When a single layer is obtained it is called graphene.

Liquid exfoliation provides scalable and high quality graphene production. The method results in the obtention of monolayer or few-layer graphene.

Graphene properties are numerous and outstanding: electrical and thermal conductivity, mechanical resistence, transparency, high surface area, flexibility and impermeability, among others.

Exfoliated graphene can be used for a wide range of applications, such as the following: polymer composites, cement composites, photovoltaic cells, biosensors, water desalination, gas sensors, flexible display screens, batteries and ultracapacitos.
