Our product contains Titanium dioxide (TiO2), which is a naturally occurring oxide of titanium. Approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), it is considered a safe substance that is harmless to humans. TiO2 used widely as a food additive (E171), as well as in toothpaste, paint, chewing gum, and many more day-to-day applications. Exposed to light, the TiO2 nano coating catalyses a reaction, creating Hydroxil radicals. These highly reactive radicals decompose and destroy cell membranes. As most microbes are single celled, they die quickly by contacting the treated surface.
Resysten® Resysten® is a photocatalytic hygienic coating system developed by Hungarian scientists. Using the energy of light reaching the surface, it exerts its hygienic effect, creating an uninhabitable environment for biological contaminants.
