NANOENCAPSULATED ZINC

Among the nanoparticles receiving the most attention today is zinc oxide, an inorganic compound with the molecular formula ZnO. It appears as a white powder and is almost insoluble in water. In higher plants it acts as a metallic component of enzymes, as a functional structural cofactor or as a regulatory cofactor for a large number of enzymes. Various researchers have reported on the essentiality and role of zinc for plant growth and performance.

The unique properties of zinc oxide (NPZnO) nanoparticles have motivated us to develop a simple and low-cost technique to produce them. This nanofertilizer can be quickly absorbed by plants, and the slow-release nanocapsules can save consumption and minimize environmental pollution.
