Cellulose is one of nature’s most abundant bio-polymers. We transform wood pulp that is third-party certified to one or more of three internationally recognized chain of custody (CoC) standards* into Nanofibrillated Cellulose (NFC) using a proprietary processing technology. The chemical-free refining process results in fibrils of exceptional strength and purity, with an extraordinarily high aspect ratio and surface area not obtainable through currently applied processes.
As illustrated above, Nanofibrillated Cellulose fibrils are the nano-scale building blocks of the micro and macro fibrils within wood fibers. NFC fibrils can be used in a wide range of product solutions, including as a reinforcing agent, a stabilizer, or a rheology modifier. Industries that will benefit from this technology range from automotive and manufacturing, to construction and consumer products, and countless other domains. Integration of NFC results in lighter-weight, more fuel-efficient vehicles, more resilient coatings and stronger concrete, and numerous other enhancements to high-performance applications and everyday products.
