Properties

With nanofiltration, multivalent ions and low-molecular components like e.g. humic substances can be retained. Nanofiltration can be used for reduction of hardness, separation of phosphates and sulphates, as well as for reduction of COD and DOC. With reverse osmosis – additionally to the nanofiltration – monovalent ions can be retained. Generally, with reverse osmosis very good retention rates for DOC can be reached, which especially matters at power plant applications.
