Petroleum Well Treatment
Platinum Catalystγ-Aluminium oxide
γ-Al2O3 Nanofiber CAS Number : 1344-28-1Platinum
Pt Nanoparticle /Nanopowder CAS Number : 7440-06-4Platinum is the standard platinum metal group (PGM) that exhibits exceptional corrosion resistance even at high temperatures. Platinum is commonly available in various forms of oxides, and has the unique ability to function as both an oxidative and reductive catalyst. Platinum compounds are commonly used in the chemical industry as a catalyst and within catalytic convertors (largest usage). It is also used extensively in the petroleum industry with the most common process being the reforming of naphthas into high-octane gasolines. Other applications for platinum include electrical components, laboratory equipment, and medicine production.
MemPro’s nanofibers functionalized with platinum catalysts consist of a base aluminum oxide (Al2O3) nanofibers incorporated with nanoparticles of platinum(II) oxide or as platinum metal. Our unique manufacturing process produces nanofibers with uniform dispersion of platinum or platinum(II) oxide nanoparticles on the interior and exterior surfaces of Al2O3 fibers. Analysis of the platinum and platinum(II) oxide nanoparticles reveals very consistent diameters (geometric size) within a range of 2 to 8 nm.
MemPro’s nanofibers are also available with platinum, rhodium, and palladium noble metals incorporated within a single nanofiber support material, manufactured to meet customer specifications.
Platinum functionalized nanofiber materials are made to our customers’ specifications, according to their catalyst loading and base material requirements. Please contact us to order this product.
