Fuel AdditiveOne of the down falls of HFO fuels is the ability to flow and burn clean. Nano-Tane will reduce the viscosity of your bunker fuel and allow for reduced emissions and a cleaner running engine. Great for reduction of emissions when using in HFO, Bunker Fuel and other heavy fuels.
CleanBoost NanoTane HFO (has been renamed from our original name of Carbonex HFO) is a concentrated, fuel-borne combustion catalyst for industrial boilers of all sizes. It improves the combustion of all grades of heavy, residual fuel oils. NanoTane HFO works in the later stages of the combustion cycle, where it catalytically enhances the combustion of hard-to-burn fuel molecules. Improved combustion converts more fuel into useful energy, translating into reduced fuel consumption, better boiler performance at reduced levels of excess air, less particulate emissions and reduced maintenance requirements. By eliminating soot and black smoke at the source, NanoTane HFO reduces carbon deposits and improves thermal efficiency of heat exchangers. Maintenance schedules can also be extended. NanoTane HFO is safe to use with all boilers.Fuel oil can be dosed with NanoTane in several ways, depending on available pumping equipment and configuration of the ship’s fuel handling system. Maximum benefits are obtained when NanoTane is thoroughly mixed with fuel oil, as far as possible upstream of the engines. While bunkering, NanoTane can be metered into the fuel oil line with a dosing pump system, before the manifold, to treat the entire fuel supply in all storage tanks. Alternatively, NanoTane can be added to storage tanks just prior to filling them with fuel. If storage tanks are not settling tanks, it is preferable to inject NanoTane into the fuel transfer line to the settling tank, or to the day tank, by way of achemical dosing or metering pump designed to work with petroleum solvents at the appropriate flow rate.
NanoTane can be sprayed onto pulverized coal prior to combustion or it can be injected into the combustion chamber. If Carbonex is sprayed onto the fuel, care must be taken to ensure a complete and homogeneous coverage of the fuel. The NanoTane injection method involves spraying a stream of NanoTane treated oil into the combustion chamber during coal firing. The method eliminates the need for expensive modifications to the existing systems or for pre-treating of the coal, which can affect the coal handling characteristics. The conversion costs would be minimal as would the down time required to convert to NanoTane fuel treatmen
CleanBoost Nano-Tane works great when a # 6 or #8 Fuel is being used for electrical generation or in a mining application where # 2 Diesel is not available. CleanBoost Nano-Tane comes in 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums for ease of shipping around the world.
