The new cement made by HeidelbergCement makes an active contribution to environmental protection. TioCem with the TX Active function is able to decompose pollutants – in a safe, reliable and substantial way. No matter if in form of concrete roofing tiles, paving stones or noise barriers – concrete products including TioCem and TX Active are able to decompose air pollutants by means of UV-light, similar to the photosynthesis of plants.

TX Active is a quality label for the photocatalytic activity of building materials. Together with the license partner, strict standards have been defined for the cement as well as for the produced final products. TX Active stands for the durable photocatalytic functionality of the finished product.
