Stone, plaster and concrete are mineral surfaces which are substantial parts of our familiar surroundings. Normally we live in houses consisting of bricks which are covered with plaster. By adsorbing humidity and releasing it in certain doses this process contributes to our micro climate in which we feel good. But also houses give shelter against atmospheric conditions and influences from the environment. Although these materials appear robust and durable we still have to take care about their functionality. Because aggressive environmental influences and contamination by graffiti can affect the function and the aesthetic of those surfaces tremendously.
