Manufacturer's Description

The technology for manufacturing supercapacitors, developed jointly with the Special Design Bureau “Rikon” JSC (Voronezh, Russia), possesses a number of substantial advantages, thereby allowing for use of these devices in various power supply systems for cars and other vehicles, and as energy storage backup units in different applications. The energy characteristics of the supercapacitors are as follows: energy density of 25 W h kg-1, power density of 30 kW kg-1, specific capacity of 5-50 F g-1, output voltage of 2.7 V, number of charge/discharge cycles of ≥ 10,000, and operating temperature range of -40-+80 ° C.
Since graphene may be synthesized in unlimited quantities and in various modifications, it can be used with different electrolytes, due to which it is possible to manufacture supercapacitors with various energy patterns. Moreover, the advantage of graphene compared with activated carbon is that the former possesses larger electrical conductivity (> 2,000 S m-1), thereby ensuring the use of graphene electrodes without current collectors.
The supercapacitors based on the graphene electrodes are environmentally friendly and able to get the voltage of 4 V with ionic electrolytes.
