The Ionenselector-NANO-X nanofiltration plant serves for the partial desalination of network water composition complying with the quality requirements of German legislation on drinking water. The Ionenselector-NANO-X nanofiltration system works according to the membrane process. During the selection process, aqueous solutions of different concentrations are separated by a nanofiltration membrane. The peculiarity of nanofiltration consists in distinguishing between monovalent ions and polyvalent ions. Monovalent ions are able to pass largely on the membrane, while the salts with polyvalent ions are retained.
