VISCOGEL XDE®

VISCOGEL® XDE is used in a wide range of grease manufacturing processes based on medium to high paraffinic oil. Using VISCOGEL® XDE organoclay rheological additive in lubricant greases allow the finished product to be a nonmelting- high temperature grease with good mechanical stability and a high water tolerance. VISCOGEL® XDE provides also good “bleed” resistance, so that no oil separate out from the grease.

VISCOGEL® XDE is a rheologicaladditive expecially designed for the use inlubricating greases. It provides the greasewith the desired thixotropic effect, whichis needed to work as a lubricant inmechanical equipment: a good flow athigh shear and a rapid gel formation oncein a quite state (shear thinningbehaviour). The nature of VISCOGEL®XDE is a bentonite based clay,organically modified with a quaternaryalkylammonium compound. It doesn’trequire a polar activator as it is a selfactivatingorganoclay
