Meanwhile, Jotun acquired Oxyplast in 1989, which was a powder production factory in the Cerkezkoy area in Turkey. In the following years Jotun opened Sales Offices in St. Petersburg (Russia), Constanta (Romania), Sofia (Bulgaria) and Almaty (Kazakhstan).Today, Jotun employs more than 600 employees in its East Europe and Central Asia Region, and has offices in Turkey, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria and Kazakhstan. High quality wet and powder coatings are being produced in the region and a state of the art factory designed to produce both powder and wet coatings will soon start its operations in St.Petersburg, Russia.
