The G-CLEAN® OSC 1809S+ Surface Washing Agent is a unique blend of plant water-based and ultimately biodegradable ingredients specifically formulated to quickly emulsify and encapsulate fuel and oil spills. The plant derived ingredients are processed to form a colloidal micelle whose structure and small particle size (1 - 4 nanometers) enable it to penetrate and breakdown long chain hydrocarbon bonds in oil and hold them in a colloidal suspension when mixed with water. Once the oil is suspended in a nano-colloidal suspension it is water soluble thus there is no reverse emulsion.

The small oil particles are now the optimum size for consumption and remediation by the resident bacteria in the oil. Ultimate biodegradation is completed in 28 days.

This product is listed in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) National Oil and Hazardous Substance Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP), 40 CFR Part 300, under the Surface Washing Agent category. As such, it may be authorized for use by Federal On-Scene Coordinators in accordance with 40 CFR section 300.910.
