Manufacturer's Description

CrayoNano’s patented and groundbreaking technology merges two nanomaterials, AlGaN nanowires and graphene, to create a hypermaterial. This combination creates new material with strain-free high crystal quality, an essential requirement for an efficient and reliable UVC LED.

Nanowires are 1D, nano-structures in the shape of extremely thin wires. They are made from various materials like gallium, nitrogen, aluminum, and others. Their structures, shape and position define their properties - ie: stress release and strain. Nanowires are next generation electrical and optical semiconductor components due to their exceptional properties.
Nanomaterials are low dimensional materials defined by their spatial dimensions as 0D, 1D, or 2D. They are a new class of materials with new properties. Graphene is 2D nanomaterial and is the thinnest, lightest, and strongest. It is highly electrically and thermally conductive, making Graphene a super material for electronics.
CrayoNano’s patented and groundbreaking technology, grows AlGaN nanowires on graphene, a new hyper-material, to create an extremely efficient semiconductor chip. Our first application will be our Nano-Hybrid UVC LED. Our AlGaN nanowires on Graphene are strain-free leading to an extremely high crystal quality, a requirement to realize an efficient, reliable UVC LED.
