NANOVerify

NANOVerify Program is a voluntary certification program for process and product with claims of nano-elements in the range of 1 to 100 nm (“nm” referring to nanometer). NANOVerified is the mark that will be awarded to the processes and products upon successful completion of the NANOVerify program, as determined by Parties.   NANOVerify is a joint program between NanoMalaysia & SIRIM QAS.   Motivations and Goals to Have NanoQ 1. Helps genuine products in the market 2. Increases public trust in nanotechnology 3. Facilitates trade 4. Certifies the presence and quality of nanomaterial based products   NanoMalaysia Berhad was incorporated in 2011 as a company limited by guarantee (CLG) under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) to act as a business entity entrusted with nanotechnology commercialization activities. Some of its roles include:  Commercialization of Nanotechnology Research and Development  Industrialization of Nanotechnology  Facilitation of Investments in Nanotechnology  Human Capital Development in Nanotechnology   SIRIM QAS International: 1. A wholly-owned subsidiary of SIRIM Berhad, Malaysia’s leading certification, inspection and testing body 2. Operator of the program   SIRIM QAS International is an accredited certification, inspection and testing services provider under numerous bodies, including the National Accreditation Body, the Department of Standards Malaysia (STANDARDS MALAYSIA) and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) among others. These achievements demonstrate our high degree of competency, impartially and credibility in the area of conformity assessment. Established on 28 August 1996, the Department of Standards Malaysia (Standards Malaysia) is an agency under the ambit of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). Over the years, Standards Malaysia assumed a statutory role in standardization and accreditation and in performing its duties and functions, is governed by Standards of Malaysia Act 1996.
